We are a green-powered campaign. I believe now is the time to show children how easy and fun it is to become environmental stewards. This starts with leadership that models climate change programs in our local communities. Beginning with how we run our political campaigns.

Yas4Unity says NO more yard signs filling up our landfills after every election night. And YES to hand-painted wood yard signs made from recycled wood. We launched an Eco-Spotting program where kids can spot wood around town to be donated. My kids and I then pop into our eco-minivan to pick up and upcycle into Yas4Unity signs. All signs will be passed on to the next local green candidate to repaint and reuse. That’s how this mom believes climate change happens. One yard sign at a time.

We also said NO to mass mailers cluttering up mailboxes. Research shows political mailers are rarely read and often go straight to trash bins.

Instead we said YES to Unity Seed packs - a special wildflower mix that attracts butterflies 🦋 {symbols of Hope + Change}🦋 . This way everyone can actively help Sow the Seeds of Unity in our community. Each pack is made in America by a earth friendly family-run business using post consumer recycled paper and filled with an organic Butterfly Seed Mix.

Students and I are walking every street handing them out (pix below). Oh, boy do people LOVE them! Small business owners have also jumped in by carrying Unity Seed baskets at their counters to give away free. Unity Seeds not only help green our planet but puts a smile on people’s faces, so needed right now during COVID.

But we need your help to purchase more Unity Seed packs to reach all 8,000+ residents!

Every dollar you contribute calls in more BUTTERFLIES. Nurtures our beautiful planet. AND shows people that even politics can be a POSITIVE force for good. Thank you! Yasmine
