Build the bridge to our bright future.

Yasmine’s Story

When people ask me why I’m passionate about unity, I say it’s simple, “I believe many Americans want to overcome division and come together. But we need more bridges that unifies us.”

Coming together and overcoming division isn’t new to me. Raised in Canada in a multi-cultural home, I quickly had to learn both French and English at a young age. Then came the day our family of five packed into our station wagon and immigrated to America “the land of opportunity” as my father, Hassan Ahmed, proudly called it.

My father wanted to provide a better life for his three children. Born in India and living through the violent 1947 Partition of India, he understood the power of fear to create intense division and discrimination in communities. My mother, Francette Ahmed, was raised in an orphanage in Switzerland during WWII. Watching them overcome financial hardships and discrimination taught me my most valuable lesson in life: anything is possible and we are happier united than divided.

HERE’S MY TRACK RECORD. I hope I earn your endorsement.
